Throwing is basically pointless as it takes a HUGE (350+) amount of skill to have a noticable effect on the reticule, and due to the short effective range on throwing weapons, it makes very little difference. It also flattens out your trajectory somewhat allowing for more precise shots, and is fairly important. Where as ranged weapons reduce reticule spread, which is fairly essential at leasy until 100-150 where it becomes less important, unless you're a horse-archer.

Melee Weapons get a minor benefit (It increases your swing and recovery speeds, which also slightly increases damage due to the weapon moving faster and allows you to use heavy or unbalanced weapons more easily). The biggest increases come around 100 to 200. Pretty much, you can acutally ignore it completely, aside from bows or crossbows (or guns if the module you're playing uses them), since it does dramatically affect how well you can use them, though it becomes less an issue over time, since you'll usually have near perfect accuracy while standing still at around 125 skill, depending on the innate accuracy of the weapon (weapon accuracy caps how much of your skill you can use for aiming, though most native weapons have 99 accuracy, however some mods have low accuracies, especially for early firearms and you do end up needing a fair amount of skill to compensate).

It suffers from a pretty bad diminishing return as you spend more points.Īnd you naturally earn it at a good pace just using said weapon if you have at least 1 or 2 points of Weapon Master.
